State of Transition

Filed under: Online Marketing — marketman @ 5:47 pm

While I may have fallen behind schedule in my blogging duties, I have do have a good excuse and have been hard at work. Honest!

First, I’m proud to say that my HTML and CSS knowledge have really grown to a point where I can comprehend about 90% of what I see when I view a website’s source code. To the point that, I have been able to produce about 5 different templates to use for my page builders - not from scratch mind you, but from free templates that I have been able to redesign to suit my needs.

Secondly, my efforts to build this site up, indexed and ranked have started to produce results . My 4 main pages have been indexed by Google and more than 400 pages indexed by other search engines. I even got my Page Rank up to 2. I am starting to build momentum, but I need to make changes as well.

Thirdly, as stated by the blog title, my marketing strategy is in a state of transition. As I analyze my business plan and whatI’ve learn so far, I realize that I need to make some necessary adjustments to my tactics and strategies.

To wit, I have decided to make this my last blog post on online marketing so that I can refocus this blog to better fit the them of the overall website. I will probably ressurrect this marketing blog on another website more suited to the subject.

That being said, I will start posting more about specialty niche products and services that I come across.

This has been a great learning experience, and I continue to learn more everyday. I’ve started a trickle flowing through my adsense account and I look forward to the day I can report a raging river that started from multiple streams of income.

Adsense Formula of Success

Filed under: Online Marketing — marketman @ 11:58 pm

While I am hardly a marketing or SEO guru, I have distilled all that I have learned these past 2 months to a simple formula:

(Domains * x) * Traffic = $$$

Build as many sites as you can, drive traffic to the sites and the Adsense revenue will come.

Yep… It’s that simple. Easy, however, is another story.

The fact is, making money from adsense is not a get-rich-quickly scheme. It’s a real business that requires an investment of your time, effort, and money. Thankfully though, the money required is ridiculously low. There is virtually no other business that can return so much money as quickly with an investment of less than $1,000.00

In the past week, I have completed researching my 10 markets and added another 2. I’ve compiled all the keywords for every market and ready to build out the sites. In total, I have about 81 sites to complete.

I haven’t been able to start because my Domain Registrar hasn’t completed the processing of the domains yet.

On the plus side, despite doing very little to get my existing sites indexed and build traffic, I am starting to get some adsense revenue trickling in. I actually made my first $1.42 this past week. Not that excited yet though. I’ll reserve that till I get my first check from google.

So, not barring any unforseen circumstances, all the sites I plan to build for the first adsense system I’m using should be complete by Wednesday. After that, I will spend the rest of the week getting the search engines to visit my sites.

By next week, I will be experimenting with another 100 sites using another adsense system.
